QUESTION: Unit 8. WHAT KIND OF PROBLEMS MIGHT PEOPLE EXPECT IN THESE DEPARTMENTS OF A COMPANY?

Accounting: 
- Definition: The systematic recording, reporting, and analysis of financial transactions of a business.
- Problems: The main problem in this department is fraud, can be occasioned by employees or people from outside.
Another problem is when people are registrating accounts and then they realize they have a wrong number or the wrong information.

Personnel: 
- Definition: People who work in an organization, business or service.
- Problems: In this department, problems can be a little dificult. These can be some examples:
An employee arrives to work late, his salary can be lower or he could be punished with extra work.
Relationships in work are very important, because you have to create a good atmosphere, so if personnel are not getting along, they can have problems like poor production.

Sales: 
- Definition: The division of a business that is responsible for selling products or services.
- Problems: For example, the supplier sends a product to a client, then the client calls the company saying the product never showed up. Then the supplier checks the shipping and he sees he made a mistake in the address, this problem is very common.

Warehouse:
- Definition: The place in which goods or merchandise are stored.
- Problems: Problems in a warehouse can be similar to problems in sales, the supplier can take out a product from a warehouse, sends it and then check he sent the wrong product or a different product. 

Factory: 
- Definition: The department which produces and makes some products.
- Problems: The main problem in this department is bad planning. If there’s a bad planning, everthing is wrong, for example, materials to fabricate products may have a poor quality.

Transport:
- Definition: To carry goods, merchandise or anything from a place to another.
- Problems: For example, they can have a wrong address or the order can arrive in bad conditions.

Purchasing:
- Definition: The division of a business that is responsible for purchases.
- Problems: For example, the client makes a purchase, but his order never arrives, so he decides to make a call to the company, the company tells him he gave a wrong personal information.
Another problem is bad communication from the company or maybe just a person can write a wrong number or address.
